Innovative digital signage for an iconic experience in the Smithfield Terminal.
At the Smithfield Terminal, Vision One executed a series of installations designed to enhance the overall guest experience and operational efficiency. At the entrance to the cablecars, two Philips 75″ 75BDL4550D D-Line Displays were mounted side by side. This setup provided the ability to either display a single stretched image or show independent content across the two screens. The high-resolution displays, with their vibrant colors and integrated WiFi, offered a modernised, engaging interface for visitors upon arrival.
The ticket collection desk saw the installation of two Philips 55″ 55BDL4550D D-Line Displays. This area required a slightly more compact setup to efficiently communicate ticketing information to guests, while still offering the option of flexible content management. These displays allowed staff to quickly update ticketing or promotional content as needed, ensuring a smooth flow of information during peak operational times.
In the main boarding queue, Vision One installed a Philips 55″ 55BDL4550D D-Line Display suspended from the ceiling. This display provided general information, such as boarding times, safety notices and promotional content, ensuring guests had clear access to important updates while waiting for their cablecar experience. The result was a clean, modern look, with the displays serving both aesthetic and functional purposes.

Smart digital displays seamlessly integrated into a tropical environment.
The Kuranda Terminal installations mirrored those of Smithfield, ensuring a consistent guest experience throughout the cableway journey. At the ticket collection desk, Vision One installed two Philips 55″ 55BDL4550D D-Line Displays, designed to handle minimal but essential content related to ticketing and visitor information. These displays ensured that guests received necessary updates and information in a concise, visually appealing manner.
At the main cablecar entrance, Vision One faced a unique challenge: the terminal’s floor-to-ceiling glass wall. To meet this challenge, two Philips 75″ 75BDL4550D D-Line Displays were installed with custom mounting solutions, ensuring the displays seamlessly blended with the modern architectural design of the terminal. The result was an elegant and functional installation that provided visitors with high-quality visual content without detracting from the natural beauty of the surroundings.
