Living large at Scotch College.
Vision One has a longstanding relationship with Scotch College, delivering a range of AV/T installations and technology upgrades across the school. This latest project in the Keon Cohen Dining Hall continues that partnership, modernising the venue’s visual display, audio and control systems while retaining and integrating suitable existing infrastructure.
- Upgrade the dining hall’s ageing video wall to a large-format, high-impact indoor LED display suitable for presentations, events and school functions.
- Improve the room’s audio performance through upgraded line source loudspeakers and integration of the existing pendant speaker system.

Saying goodbye to what no longer fits.
Vision One decommissioned the existing Samsung 3×3 video wall and replaced it with a ViewSonic LDE163G-182 163″ All-in-One LED Display. Working closely with the Scotch College maintenance department, the existing wall recess was reconfigured to accommodate the new indoor-rated LED display, providing a significantly larger and more seamless visual presentation surface for the dining hall.
Sound that can always be heard.
The existing wall column speakers and amplifier were also decommissioned and replaced with two Fohhn LXP-100 Passive Full-Range 2-way Loudspeakers. The existing pendant and hanging speakers were retained and re-integrated into the upgraded system, with the existing Powersoft Ottocanali 4K4 Amplifier repurposed to support the new audio configuration. The system was balanced and configured to provide consistent audio coverage throughout the dining hall.
Easy-to-use control for everyone.
The room’s control system was comprehensively upgraded, with the existing Crestron processor and two Crestron touch panels — one wall-mounted and one lectern-mounted — replaced by an RTI control solution comprising two IST-10 10″ Intelligent Surface Touchpanels and an XP-6s Control Processor. A new Q-SYS Core 110f Processor was also installed, replacing the original processing platform. Existing microphone and HDMI audio connections were integrated into the RTI control interface, while audio and DSP communications were integrated into the RTI environment via IP.
For the upstairs TV, the existing Crestron control system was replaced with an RTI KX4 4.0″ In-Wall Touchscreen Controller, providing a consistent and intuitive control experience across the venue.
Following installation and integration, Vision One completed comprehensive testing and commissioning of the upgraded AV/T system to ensure all display, audio and control functions operated reliably and as intended.

The Keon Cohen Dining Hall upgrade provides Scotch College with a modern, integrated AV/T environment designed to support presentations, events, assemblies, functions and everyday use. By combining a large-format LED display with upgraded audio, streamlined control and modern processing, Vision One has delivered a solution that enhances the functionality of the space while building on the strong, longstanding partnership between Vision One and Scotch College.
The new 163″ All-in-One LED display provides a significantly larger, brighter and more seamless viewing experience than its previous infrastructure.
RTI touch panels provide an intuitive interface for managing the room’s AV functions, reducing complexity for staff and presenters.
New loudspeakers, combined with the re-integrated pendant speakers, deliver clearer and more consistent audio throughout the dining hall.
The combination of RTI and Q-SYS provides a flexible, IP-based control and audio platform that can be adapted as technology requirements evolve.
