The Maribyrnong Aquatic Centre is a versatile, multi-use aquatic and all-purpose functions centre in Melbourne’s Western suburb of Maribyrnong.
The project brief was simple: take the old, antiquated, under-performing and disjointed audio configuration and hardware and upgrade to a reliable, impressive and easy-to-use integrated audio system.
We partnered with the team at Audio Logistics to deliver complete Audac infrastructure, inclusive of the following scope of works:
Pool Hall & Change Rooms
Supply and install 6x HS208TMKII Horn Speakers with Brackets. Supply and install 4x CHA530 Compression Horns to be mounted in conjunction with HS208TMK11 Horns, mounted above entranceway to Pool Hall and angled accordingly.
Supply and install 1x CHA660 2-Way Horn to cover Spa/Pool area on RHS and 1x HS121 4” Outdoor Sound Projector to cover area in front of “new” change room.
Supply and install 6x CIRA824 Sauna/Spa Anti-Condensation Ceiling Speakers in the Change Rooms (3x in each change room).
Hallway & Main Foyer
Supply and install 9x CIRA824 Ceiling Speakers (6x in Hallway, 2x in Cafe and 1x Gym Foyer) and 2x Pairs of Surface Mount ATEO 4 Speakers for outside of Cafe/Foyer (cabling tapped of existing ceiling speakers).
Plant Room
Supply and install 1x CHA215 Horn Speaker to work in conjunction with existing horn (cable tapped off existing – fanned out into two different directions).
Next, we totally revamped the existing equipment rack, replacing the old hardware with an Audac M2 Audio Matrix, 1x DW5066 All Zone Wall Controller (to control all the audio zones/sources from the rack location), 1x MMP40 Media Player Device & 2x IMP40 Internet Radio Devices (to schedule one station during the day and the other during the evening), 1x APM108MKII Pager Microphone, 1x PMQ480 Amplifier for Pool Horns, 1x SMQ750 Amplifier for Vexo 8 in Gym, 1x SMQ750 Amplifier for 4x BASO12 Subs in Gym, 1x CAP424 Amplifier for Change Rooms/Plant Room/Childcare & 1x CAP224 Amp for Remaining Rooms.
All installation works were conducted after-hours.
