Audac Audio Supports Viewsonic Touchscreen at Community Centre in Wollert

  • City of Whittlesea - Kirrip Community Centre

  • October 2022

  • 1x Audac NOBA8 Slimline Desiger 8” Integrated Subwoofer and Amplifier (White – wall-mounted), 2x KYRA12 12” Designer Column Speakers (White), 1x W225/W Universal Wall Panel with Mic/Line/Bluetooth Inputs (inc. Surface-Mount Wall Box, Power Supply and Terminal Block Adapter)

Developed in 2020, Kirrip Community Centre – a service facility under the jurisdiction of long-term Vision One client, City of Whittlesea – provides essential services to the booming population in the city’s north. It includes a modern three‑room kindergarten, two fully-equipped maternal and child health consulting suites, a 200sqm community hall, meeting spaces for community groups and a landscaped outdoor area. The centre has been designed as an inclusive and accessible space for our diverse and growing community.

To better-support the centre’s existing Viewsonic Touch Screen display in the Main Hall, Vision One supplied and installed a fully-integrated audio system that comprised of an Audac NOBA8 Slimline Desiger 8” Integrated Subwoofer and Amplifier, two KYRA12 12” Designer Column Speakers and an Audac W225/W Universal Wall Panel with Mic/Line/Bluetooth Inputs.

Characterised by an innovative & unique design and with its curved shape – made of aircraft graded aluminum – the NOBA8 is able to deliver an unheard low frequency response for its small woofer size. The KYRA12 design column speaker consists of 12 x 2” high-quality aluminum cone full-range drivers, delivering extraordinary clarity and detailed sound. The overall continuous power handling reaches 120 Watt and the beamwidth of 174° x 9° (-6 dB avg 1 kHz – 4 kHz)* makes it the perfect match for acoustically difficult venues, reducing echo and microphone feedback which optimizes the speech intelligibility in reverberant venues.

The WP225 is a remote wall mixer that can be used in combination with various AUDAC hardware. It converts the signal coming from a stereo line-level audio source (such as a tuner, mobile devices, … ) or balanced microphone to the level corresponding to the differential signal input making it possible to transfer high-quality audio over long distances between the wall panel and the loudspeaker, by just using inexpensive twisted-pair CAT5e or better cabling. On the front side of the wall panel, there is a 3.5 mm jack stereo line input connection available together with a balanced XLR microphone input, both provided with their own knob which allows the signals to be mixed together.
