Heathmont College delivers AV excellence in new multi-purpose hall.
Beginning in 2020, Vision One were approached by the team at VTAS Architecture to design and deliver a “showpiece” audio visual system for Heathmont College’s brand-new multi-purpose hall. The brief was simple: audio and visual excellence, by any means necessary!

Elevating presentations: dynamic video walls and immersive audio systems enhance school gymnasium.
We kicked things off with the supply and installation of two 2×2 LG Video Wall Display Panels, strategically positioned on either side of the presentation area. These video walls were elegantly housed within custom-built Ultralift frames, featuring stylish side shrouds and protective Perspex glass.
Adjacent to each video wall, we installed two Audac GIAX Column Speakers, complemented by two conveniently mounted BASO12 12″ Subwoofers for enhanced low-frequency performance. Ultralift designed and manufactured unobtrusive protective cages for each audio element, ensuring both aesthetics and security. The GIAX speakers deliver exceptional sound quality and impressive power, making them ideal for applications requiring clear music and speech audibility. Their line array configuration, with 24 specially designed 2″ drivers, ensures wide sound dispersion while creating the impression of a single sound source with evenly distributed coverage.
Additionally, we installed a dual Sennheiser Wireless Microphone system, providing the school with versatile wireless and handheld presentation capabilities.
Transforming education: impressive AV solutions illuminate experiences at Heathmont College.
In a 12RU Equipment Rack situated in the storeroom, we installed an Audac SMQ350 Power Amplifier along with a PRE116 Mixer. The SMQ350 features WaveDynamics™ DSP processing paired with a 2.5” LCD display, offering an unparalleled user experience with intuitive function access for seamless configuration.
For connectivity, a Kramer-powered HDBaseT/HDMI Wall Plate Transmitter was placed on the stage’s side and a custom Vision One JED T460 Wall Controller was installed for overall system operation and control. To facilitate wireless mirroring and streaming from any device, we also provided a Kramer VIA GO2 Wireless Presentation Device.
