Bringing art to life with interactive technology at Gippsland Art Gallery.
The LUMOplay system included an Ultralift Australia designed and developed right-angled ceiling mount to suit both the Epson EB-L520U 5,200 ANSI Lumens Laser Projector and the Orbbec Astra 3D Camera. The Orbbec Astra was strategically positioned above the projector in order to adequately capture the projection region. The Astra Series 3D Camera provides computer vision that enables dozens of functions such as facial recognition, gesture recognition, human body tracking, three-dimensional measurement, environment perception and three-dimensional map reconstruction.
23x games were selected from the LUMOplay marketplace (including soccer, dancing, hungry hippos, alien invaders and more). The software was powered by an Asus 24″ PC with touch screen monitor. The video and USB signal is streamed via the use of a Clean Digital HDMI/USB transmitter and receiver kit.
Game content is programmed to transition every ten minutes, providing children with a constantly-changing playlist of games to interact with.
- Increased Visitor Interaction: The LUMOplay system invites guests to actively participate, enhancing their experience.
- Dynamic Content: Regularly changing game content keeps the installation fresh and engaging for repeat visitors.
- Multifunctional Use: The technology can be adapted for various exhibitions and events throughout the year.
- Innovative Learning Tool: The system provides an educational platform, making art more accessible and enjoyable.
The installation of the LUMOplay Motion Software at the Gippsland Art Gallery has transformed the visitor experience, creating an engaging and interactive environment that celebrates art and creativity.
