Description

The Magewell Director Mini is a compact, all-in-one device for live streaming and recording. It simplifies workflows for live events, remote productions and multi-camera setups. Compact yet powerful, the device integrates switching, graphics, streaming, recording and monitoring into a single unit. This allows a single operator to create professional-grade productions with ease.

The Director Mini supports two HDMI inputs, two USB AV inputs and three live IP sources. Compatible formats include SRT, RTMP, RTSP and NDI® High Bandwidth/HX streams. HTML webpages and media files such as videos, images and audio can also be added to productions. This flexibility ensures dynamic and engaging content creation.

Users can define and switch between multiple custom layouts that combine live video, media and graphics. Tools like chroma keying, motion graphics and telestration help create polished outputs. Scene presets streamline production, while transitions between layouts make switching seamless.

The NDI® Certified Director Mini supports up to three NDI sources. One source can be used for motion graphics overlays with alpha channel support. The device offers two simultaneous NDI HX3 outputs, enabling local IP-based workflows.

The accompanying Director Utility App provides remote functionality. Users can configure settings, mix audio, control switching and manage instant replays. The app also turns smartphone cameras into mobile inputs. Up to three phone cameras can be connected for additional perspectives.

The Director Mini encodes video up to 1080p at 60fps with bitrates of up to 30Mbps. Content can be streamed to platforms like YouTube™ Live and Facebook™ Live via RTMP. SRT output supports remote workflows, while local recording is available on an SD card or internal storage. Two-channel ISO recording captures footage from program output, HDMI or USB inputs.
