Mernda Central College transforms theatre with new AV system.
When Mernda Central College sought to upgrade the audio-visual capabilities of their Theatrette, they turned to Vision One for a comprehensive AV solution. Tasked with designing and installing a system that would enhance the college’s learning spaces, Vision One brought together advanced projection, audio and control systems to meet the unique needs of this dynamic educational facility.

Transforming learning solutions in MCC's theatrette.
To begin, we installed an Epson EB-G7200W 7,500 ANSI Lumens WXGA Projector on a custom-built L-shaped bracket, manufactured by Ultralift Australia. The Epson EB-G7200W is easy to set-up and with low maintenance requirements, which boasts vibrant, true-to-life images with better colour brightness. On the opposite wall, we installed a Grandview 160″ Motorised Projection Screen. The Grandview Screen is cleverly designed to make installation easy and has multiple mounting points, for placement on both the wall or ceiling.
For audio, we contacted our trusted pals at Audio Logistics who recommended a system comprising of 2x Audac XENO6 6″ Wall Speakers and an Audac Mixer Amplifier. The XENO series is a loudspeaker range specifically designed for fixed audio installations in modern environments, offering two different sizes of contemporary and elegant designed products. What makes them so unique is their full range audio design, allowing them to be used without additional bass cabinet.
The COM series public address mixing amplifiers are providing an ideal solution for small to medium size commercial sound systems. Different configurations in terms of output power and connectivity provide enormous flexibility for numerous applications.
Elevating presentations: high-impact AV upgrades enhance student engagement at Mernda Central.
To secure and store all hardware, beneath a vacant cupboard space we installed a Caymon WPR606 Wall Mount Equipment Rack. The WPR606 is a professional 19” wall mount metal rack compliant to ANSI/EIA RS-310D, DIN41491, IEC 60297 standards which comes fully assembled and can be easily mounted on the wall.
For system control, we installed our custom Vision One-branded JED T460 Wall Controller.
