Situated on the coastline of Melbourne’s picturesque Mornington Peninsula, Toorak College is a leading private all-girls school dedicated to the holistic development of students and nurtures and supports their interests, empowering them through academic and personal growth so they thrive in their future.
In December of 2021, the school began its re-development and transformation of an existing heritage building into the brand-new and aptly-titled “Illuminate Centre.” As part of these upgrades, Vision One were commissioned to design and deliver a revolutionary and collaborative audio visual experience for staff and students alike.
Consisting of two stories, the ground floor saw 4x classrooms fitted with 3x Sony 85” FWDX80J Series Semi Commercial Display Panels 2x Sony 55” FWDX80J Series Semi Commercial Display Panels. The BRAVIA display brings you the clarity, colour and contrast of 4K plus rich multi-dimensional sound, framed in a slim, luxurious design.
Beneath each display panel, Audac IMEO2 Sound Bars were conveniently installed, maximising global sound output and volume distribution. The IMEO2 Soundbar features a slim and elegant design and includes all required functions for expansion of any audiovisual system with an impressive sound, while having a minimal hassle for installation.
To provide total system commands, we supplied and installed a custom-built Kramer Control System comprising of 1x VS-1616DN-EM 16×16 Modular Multi-Format Digital Matrix Switcher, 2x UHD-IN2-F16 HDMI Input Cards, 2x DTAxr-IN2-F16 HDBT Input Cards, 3x DTAxr-OUT2-F16 HDBT Output Cards, 2x PSE-4 and 1x PSE-1 PoE Injectors, 4x PA-120Z 120W Power Amplifiers, 2x RK-1 Rack Kits and 2x RK-T2B-B Rack Kits, 4x WP-789T/US-D(W) HDBT Wall Plate Transmitters for HDMI Inputs, 5x TP-580R HDMI Receivers, 2x SL-240C 16-Port Master Room Controller with PoE, 4x KT-107 7” Touch Screen Controllers, 1x TL-WR841N TP-Link Wireless N Router and 1x TL-SF1008P TP-Link 4-Port PoE Switch.

The Kramer VS-1616DN-EM Modular Matrix Switcher is a high−performance 2×2 to 16×16 4K@60Hz (4:2:0) modular matrix switcher chassis for AV signals. The unit is a multi−format digital switcher, populated from 2×2 to 16×16 in increments of two inputs and/or two outputs.
The Kramer KT-107 Touch Screen Controller is a 7−inch IPS multi−touch, powerful touch panel with 1280×800 resolution. Elegantly designed for decorative room integration, this portable touch panel can be deployed either tabletop or on−wall, mounted inside standard in−wall junction boxes.
As per the school’s deployment history, we added in 4x more Kramer VIA GO 2 Wireless Presentation Devices for wireless presentation and screen-sharing. VIA GO 2 gives iOS, Android, Chromebook, PC, and Mac users instant wireless connectivity with 4K advanced presentation capabilities. The product features content streaming with crystal−clear mirrored images and stunning video playback.
On the top floor, we supplied and installed fully-integrated Epson Interactive Projection Systems with 16x Audac CENA Series In-Ceiling Speakers. The CENA series are full-range ceiling speakers, designed to offer an unmatched solution for large scale public address projects. The SpringFit™ fixation offers the fastest possible installation time of any speaker available on the market, while the borderless grill design is absolutely unseen for any ceiling speaker in this segment.
