After evaluating a string of configuration options for classroom upgrades, Melbourne High School opted for a solution for their ‘classroom of the future’ that included the installation of four Samsung 55″ LED full HD commercial displays in a single ‘learning-pod-styled’ classroom environment.
Each display is fitted with a Vivi wireless streaming device which allows users to connect wirelessly via their laptops, notebooks and mobile devices. Each display is controlled centrally via the use of a Crestron wall mount touch screen and network processor. The Crestron touch screen allows users to turn all displays ON/OFF, or turn on individual displays as required.
The classroom is currently under trial with the provision of further classroom upgrades pending the evaluation of the performance of this first phase of technology.
