Fisher & Paykel Healthcare is a leading designer, manufacturer and marketer of products and systems for use in acute and chronic respiratory care, surgery and the treatment of obstructive sleep apnea.
Having previously worked with Vision One, the IT team at Fisher & Paykel Healthcare reached out to the creative tech-xperts once again; this time, to design and implement new video conferencing systems to meet the needs of their existing meeting spaces.
Fisher & Paykel elected eleven rooms as part of their new technology solution, six (France, China, Japan, Melbourne, New Zealand and Brazil) of which were supplied and installed with brand new Crestron UC-MX50-T Mercury Flex Tabletop Video Conference Systems for Microsoft Teams Rooms. The UC-MX50-T system provides a complete video conference room solution for use with the Microsoft Teams Rooms intelligent communications platform. It supports single or dual video displays, and features the Crestron Flex tabletop conference device, UC Bracket Assembly with UC‑ENGINE, a collaboration camera, cables and power supply.
We also supplied and installed 4x Sony FWD85X80H 4K QFHD Display Panels in the China, France, Japan and Brazil rooms and delivered a dual Sony FWD85X80H 4K QFHD panel display solution in the Sri Lanka room. The BRAVIA FWD-85X80H brings you the clarity, colour and contrast of 4K plus rich multi-dimensional sound, framed in a slim, luxurious design and surrounds you with pure sound that pulls you right into the scene.
As part of these works, we also developed and deployed a live streaming and recording system for the newly-refurbished SIM (simulation) Room. We supplied and strategically-installed 2x AVer CAM520 PRO ADVANCED 18x Zoom PTZ Cameras. The CAM520 Pro is equipped with a high-class 18X total zoom that displays every detail in crystal-clear quality. Efficiently start a meeting by simply facing the camera to activate facial detection. AVer SmartFrame will do the rest, automatically capturing and fitting all participants on-screen in seconds.
Both cameras were wired to a local ATEM Mini Pro ISO Streaming Device. ATEM Mini switchers make it easy to create professional multi camera productions for live streaming to YouTube and innovative business presentations using Skype or Zoom! Simply connect ATEM Mini and you can switch live up to 8 high quality video camera inputs for dramatically better quality images.
Then, we pulled an HDMI output feed from the ATEM Mini Pro to allow for the streaming device’s feed to be displayed on two 43″ monitors, one within the SIM space and one just outside. Via the ATEM Mini Pro, users can activate live streams, select camera angles, apply transitions, fade to black and more.
Finally, we removed and relocated existing display panels and Crestron Systems across the remaining rooms that were previously worked on during our 2020 project.
